Cape Fear Museum is the region’s resource for collecting, preserving and interpreting objects related to the history, science and cultures of the Lower Cape Fear. The Museum features a primary history gallery called Cape Fear Stories, a space themed learning center modeled after the International Space Station called Space Place, the Michael Jordan Discovery Gallery that features information about the region’s natural environment and ecosystems, a replica of a Giant Ground Sloth found in Wilmington, an outdoor Museum Park and several traveling exhibits per year. In addition, the Museum offers educational programs throughout the year for people of all ages.
